How our 1:1 Online Courses run...

​

Unlike courses that use video calls and screen sharing (where the tutor watches the screen by camera), our students type directly on our professional teaching computers using secure VPN technology. 

 

This gives us real time visibility of every keystroke and allows us to provide the same quality of instruction as our Face to Face courses. When we see incorrect "fingering" we intervene immediately - not after the student has practiced the mistake 10 times.

You get professional "face to face" teaching without leaving home.  After the one time set up. every session just works - no updates - no troubleshooting - your child connects to our computer . We never access your compter.  

​

At the same time a separate device is needed (mobile phone, Ipad or similar) positioned so that we can see and correct finger placements just as accurately as if you were sitting in front of us.  Many parents tell us they're surprised how "present" and effective the online teaching feels.

It normally takes between 10-12hrs to cover the full programme (although some can take longer) flexible to suit you.

We supply:

  • Access to our unique virtual network using the software programme

  • Learners Pack (value £15) posted to you in advance of the course including keyboard cover and individual colour stickers

  • Paperwork for use on the course

  • End of course certificate

  • Laptop or PC - no ipads and no chromebooks - with fast internet connection

  • Mobile device with camera and WhatsApp access

Why Our Virtual Classroom is Different

The Problem with Standard Online Tutoring

Most online touch typing courses use video calling software like Zoom.or Teams. The tutor watches your child's screen through screen-sharing. Here's what that means:

  • Camera angles matter - The tutor might miss finger placement errors

  • Video quality varies - Lag or pixelation can hide mistakes

  • Software conflicts - "It works on my computer" problems are common

  • Installation headaches - Parents become unpaid tech support

  • Inconsistent setups - Every student has different software, keyboards, settings

Result: Less effective teaching and more frustration.
